CEMLA (Multicultural Learning Center)

Center for Multicultural Learning & Activities (CEMLA)

With learning support classes, education counseling, and information provision as its three pillars, CEMLA operates every Saturday at Sagami Women's University campus through collaboration between prefectural high schools (including Sagamihara Yaei High School as the hub), Sagami Women's University, and ME-net.

About CEMLA

CEMLA stands for Center for Multicultural Learning & Activities.

CEMLA is a collaboration between high schools, universities, and NPOs to build a "multicultural learning support hub" providing educational support, consultation, and information. From 2010 to 2018, it was commissioned under the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Japanese language education program for "foreign residents." Since 2019, it has been operated by a steering committee comprising the Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education, 10 prefectural high schools, and ME-net.
